Master data (equipment reference, items, technicians, suppliers, analytical hierarchy) is the invisible foundation that determines 80% of the operational quality of a CMMS. A well-built reference framework guarantees reliable reports for 10 years. An improvised framework condemns you to a costly redesign 12-24 months after go-live. This course is aimed at CMMS project managers, methods managers, maintenance engineers in charge of building or rebuilding this framework.
Program: methodological approach to building the reference (before clicking on “Create equipment”), durable coding rules for equipment, components and items, analytical hierarchy strategy (section / department / management center / cost center) aligned with the real organization, quality of equipment records (criticality, technical data, warranties, safety notes), structuring of families / sub-families / groupings for analyses, fine-grained management of actors (technicians with roles and skills, suppliers with conditions). You will also learn to avoid classic modeling pitfalls and to industrialize reference maintenance over time.
By the end of the course, you will be able to build a coherent, exploitable and scalable MAINTEX reference framework. You will know how to lead a project to build it from scratch on a new base or rebuild a degraded existing reference, and to impose solid methodological rules on operational teams. Essential for any CMMS deployment project or upgrade.
