The spare parts inventory is the backbone of any maintenance organization. A well-managed inventory guarantees equipment availability; a poorly managed inventory blocks interventions, inflates working capital, and hides the real consumption drifts. MAINTEX offers a complete inventory module that tracks every movement in real time, values your items, and reveals drifts through a suite of analytical reports.

This operational course takes you through the entire flow: recording an item receipt (supplier reception), entering a single issue (consumption for intervention), transferring between warehouses, performing an inventory (unit or by list), and exploiting the six essential inventory reports (valuation, dated valuation, dormant stock, consumption by equipment, consumption by cost center, trend). Each operation is explained field by field, with its pitfalls and best practices. You will also learn to articulate inventory with WOs (direct consumption during intervention) and to manage rotation to avoid stockouts and overstock.

By the end of the course, you will be able to manage a MAINTEX parts warehouse independently, value your inventory at any moment, detect dormant items to liquidate, and feed the financial analyses requested by management control.
