MAINTEX 5.0.0: five answers to the real problems of your maintenance

It is 6:40 a.m. A pump stops in the middle of production. The technician knows how to fix it, but the part is no longer on the shelf: nobody saw it coming. This week’s inspection? Nowhere to be found. The budget? We will find out in December. Does this morning sound familiar? MAINTEX 5.0.0 is available, and it answers these problems one by one: the part always there, the inspection always done and proven, reliable measurements, a controlled budget, contracts under control.

MAINTEX 5.0.0: a major evolution, not just an update

Maintenance is no longer just about fixing fast. It must be anticipated, better organised, compliant and financially controlled. That is what 5.0.0 brings to the solution, with five new modules in the foreground and improvements to the functions you already use.

MAINTEX 5.0.0, new version: five new modules, smart replenishment, regulatory inspections, budget management, metrology, contract amendments
The five new modules of MAINTEX 5.0.0

01Smart replenishment

Anticipate stock-outs with dynamic thresholds calculated from your consumption and your suppliers’ lead times. Suggestions become purchase requests or orders in a few clicks.

02Regulatory inspections

Plan, carry out and trace your inspections, from the inspection sheet to the follow-up of findings and corrective actions.

03Budget management

Manage your maintenance spending by comparing planned budget, revised budget and actual expenses, by company, department, cost center, equipment or account.

04Metrology

Make your measuring instruments reliable: calibrations, certificates, laboratories and non-conformities, with full traceability.

05Contract amendments

Follow the evolution of your supplier contracts: conditions, costs, commitments, response times and the scope concerned.

Anticipate. Control. Optimise.A technical director and a managing director find the same thing here: fewer stock-outs, monitored budgets, secured inspections and more available equipment.

Five problems you know by heart

Whether you run a site or work on the equipment, you live these situations every week. 5.0.0 does not add functions for the sake of it: each new module answers one of these situations.

The part you need is never there

Smiling technician checking his tablet in a tidy parts store, a parcel under his arm
The right part at the right time: no more shutdowns that drag on for lack of a part.

The problem. A critical part is missing at the worst moment. Order thresholds set one day no longer follow what you really consume, and you only notice it at the shutdown.

What 5.0.0 changes. MAINTEX observes your actual consumption, takes into account how long your supplier takes to deliver, and warns you before the stock-out. Items are ranked by urgency. In one click, the alert becomes a purchase request, or an order grouped by supplier, with a comparison tool to choose.

In the field

You know from the morning which parts are at risk, and you no longer wait for the breakdown to request the purchase.

For management

Fewer unplanned shutdowns, purchases prepared rather than urgent, and a clear view of the most critical items and of the requests that are slow to be approved.

The forgotten inspection, the missing proof

Technician in a hard hat checking his tablet next to an industrial pump and its pressure gauge
The inspection is done on the phone or tablet, and leaves a trace.

The problem. Regulatory inspections live in files, notebooks and memories. An omission is a risk for people as well as for the company, and on audit day, the proof is missing.

What 5.0.0 changes. Each inspection sheet specifies who inspects what, on which equipment and when. The inspection is generated at the due date, the technician fills it in on his mobile, and it moves from created to signed. MAINTEX can automatically create an intervention request or a work order, or send an email to the people concerned.

In the field

A clear list of what must be inspected, entered on mobile, with no re-entry at the office.

For management

A dated and signed trace of each inspection, and actions triggered without delay.

The instrument that drifts

Technician measuring with a digital caliper on a calibration bench, certificate placed beside it
Reliable instruments, certificates at your fingertips.

The problem. A scale, a probe, a pressure gauge that drifts: measurements become doubtful, and nobody knows since when. Calibration certificates sleep in a drawer.

What 5.0.0 changes. Each instrument has its sheet, its reference standards and their traceability, its inspections with an overall conformity, its certificates and its laboratory. A non-conformity is recorded with its severity and status, then followed until closure.

In the field

You instantly find the status of an instrument and its certificate.

For management

Measurements you can rely on, facing a customer or an auditor.

The budget you endure

Maintenance manager in front of a large screen of colourful charts, industrial site visible through the window
A budget managed during the year, not only afterwards.

The problem. The maintenance budget is discovered at year end, when there is nothing left to decide.

What 5.0.0 changes. You set the fiscal year, the accounts, the planned then revised amounts. Expenses are allocated as they occur, and you compare the budget with actuals by family, by account or by axis (company, department, cost center, equipment), in monthly or chart view, with export.

In the field

Each expense is linked to the right account and the right equipment.

For management

Decisions backed by actuals, during the year and not after.

The contract that changes silently

Two professionals examining a paper contract, a tablet on the meeting table
Every change to a supplier contract is traced.

The problem. A supplier contract evolves: price, duration, lead times, warranties. If nothing is traced, nobody knows anymore what was promised.

What 5.0.0 changes. Each amendment automatically picks up the contract, the supplier and the cost center, then specifies the effective date, the planned costs per period, the response times, the warranty, the authorisations (release of items, in-house labour) and the equipment concerned.

Infographic of the Contract amendments module: contract and amendment, effective date, conditions, commitments, response times, warranty, scope and equipment, link
Infographic: the Contract amendments module at a glance

In the field

You know which commitment applies to which equipment, and which deadlines the supplier must meet.

For management

Every contract change is traced, and supplier commitments remain under control.

And also, for everyday work

  • Idle money becomes visible. Items with no movement for at least ten days are flagged, with their value per warehouse.
  • The equipment schedule at a glance. Available, broken down or under maintenance, by day, week or month, editable directly.
  • Meter-based maintenance is no longer lost. Next visit, remaining before service and alert are displayed.
  • MAINTEX speaks your language. Labels can be customised in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese: “Cost center” becomes “Expense center”, “Work orders” becomes “Work order”.
  • Better tracked receipts and inventories. Goods receipts and inventory variances are tracked in MAINTEX.
  • Emails in your image. Configure your sending server (SMTP) and adapt the email templates.
